What Are Your Core Values - Part 3
Bishop Joseph Quainoo
Sunday, September 1, 2013
Bishop continued his series on “What are your core values?” Bishop reminded us that faith works in prayer. In our faith we must call to Lord. Faith doesn’t work in itself, faith works in God and we pray to God in faith.
Generosity is defined as the quality of being generous, especially liberality in giving. The word generous is an adjective meaning being characterized by nobility in thought or behavior, characterized by abundance. Generosity is a core value or virtue of those who have been redeemed by Christ and are members of the family of God.
As Christ’s redeemed we have been rescued from ruin and God has put value back into us and restored us back to Himself. We are a unique and peculiar people, neither Jews nor Gentiles, but a unique breed, where all people can belong. In this state God gives us His word, which is forever relevant to grow us and bring us into maturity! We must put God’s word into practice, in order to be brought into maturity. When we submit ourselves to what God says, we are a blessed people.
