Our Senior Pastor

Bishop Joseph Quainoo

Serving God with a passion...

NCCI is shepherded by a loving, firm man of God who has a vision, faith and a tenacity to win the lost for Christ.   Bishop Joseph Quainoo, a citizen of the USA, was born in Ghana, West Africa.  Along with founding New Covenant Church International, he has planted 10 churches in Ghana and gives apostolic oversight to many other churches here in New England, the Caribbean and West Africa.  Along with his wife Vanessa, he submits to a board of Bishops including Bishop Gideon Thompson of Boston, Massachusetts, Bishop Milton Grannum of Philadephia, Pennsylvania and Bishop Charles Agyin Asare of WMCI, headquartered in Ghana.  He is a leader of keen discernment and has a great love for people.  He teaches the scriptures clearly and with practical ways to encourage his audience to win in life.  His concern for the underprivileged is reflected in pioneering compassion ministries both at NCCI and through his personal involvement in overseas missions, especially Africa.

Bishop Quanioo graduated with a Masters Degree in Theology and Missions at the Akrofi-Christaller Institute, in Ghana, and is a Doctor of Ministry student at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, in the USA.  He leads missions teams to Ghana yearly.  Glory to God for the many that are hearing and responding to the Gospel through his ministry.  Among his passions are raising up spiritual sons and daughters to be effective leaders in the Kingdom of God.  His 31 years of Christian Ministry includes seven years in InterVarsity, Ghana; founding a Young Adult ministry in Southern RI; shepherding several Pastors in North America, and serving for over a decade as Senior Pastor of NCCI.  Bishop Quainoo believes strongly in preserving the family and loves his wife, Dr. Vanessa and sons, Timothy, Matthew, and John.  In 2004, he was consecrated Bishop in a marvelous service in his hometown of Enchi, Ghana, with Bishop Agyin Asare as the presiding Bishop, assisted by pastors Harold and Marilyn Lambe of Bermuda.
